Formulating Goals and Strategies Meeting

On November 16th, neighborhood coalitions, community organizations, health centers, hospitals and the Boston Public Health Commission, will once again join BACH in its citywide health planning effort. This time we will gather to establish a set of shared goals for 5 strategic issues identified during a September meeting.

These issues are:

  1. How can we achieve racial and ethnic health equity?
  2. How can we improve coordination and integration of healthcare and community-based prevention activities/services?
  3. How can we build and increase resilience in communities impacted by trauma?
  4. How can we improve health outcomes by focusing on education, employment, and transportation policies and practices ?
  5. How can we increase the number of immigrants, people of color and other under-represented residents in leadership roles and decision-making processes?

November 16th represents one of the final stages in the MAPP process. BACH’s hope is to develop working groups for each strategic issue to implement the goals and strategies selected during the meeting. In preparation, BACH has created a simple questionnaire to gather strategies partners are already using to address each of these issues.
