David Aronstein, BACH Program Director
David Aronstein is the Director of the Boston Alliance for Community Health (BACH is CHNA 19), a partnership with eleven neighborhood-based coalitions, and hospitals, health centers, other community-based organizations and residents. Mr. Aronstein provides leadership and strategic direction to BACH’s numerous work groups focused on community capacity building, health planning and improvement, policy and advocacy, and civic engagement. He represents BACH in Determination of Need planning processes.
Jamiah Tappin, Community Organizing and Communications Manager
BACH’s Community Organizing and Communications Manager, Jamiah 
Tappin has worked in Hartford, CT empowering youth and residents around public safety concerns, housing issues and clean neighborhood initiatives, as well as been an advocate equity in education and LGBT rights at the State legislative. In her current role, Jamiah works with neighborhood coalitions to improve their overall functioning and with other community groups to develop coalition capacity in new neighborhoods, including the North Dorchester Coalition, which she coordinates. Jamiah manages BACH’s communication strategies, is a leader on BACH’S Racial Equity Committee and facilitates BACH’s Community Engagement & Membership Committee, which engages residents in BACH’s health planning and advocacy work. In the Fall of 2014, Jamiah presented at the American Public Health Association’s 142nd Annual Meeting & Expo on “Addressing Health Inequities in Communities of Color Through Multi-Ethnic, Cross-Neighborhood Coalition Building.” She holds a master’s degree from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work.
Tamika R. Francis, Community Engagement Manager, Let’s Get Healthy, Boston!
Tamika R. Francis is the Community Engagement Manager for the Let’s Get Healthy, Boston! (LGHB) a U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Partnerships to Improve Community Health program. She has sound Caribbean heritage, having lived or worked on several islands on bilateral international development projects funded by the World Bank, USAID and the European Union. She moved to Boston ten years ago, where she immediately found herself connected to social justice issues. She is committed to people centered development, and approaches that collaborates with those most affected by a problem, to work towards a solution. Her lived experiences, coupled with work in multi-sectors, led to her role as the resident engagement strategist, and key architect behind LGHB’s Healthy Community Champions program. Tamika has a strong passion for the outdoors, farming, wholesome food and reverence for traditional and indigenous practices. She earned her Bachelor’s in Geography from the University of the West Indies in 2003, and her Masters in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University in 2010, where she focused on conservation and capacity building in the context of small island developing states. When she is not working on Let’s Get Healthy, Boston!, she can be found expanding her cooking repertoire, or, visiting as many UNESCO world heritage sites as possible, however, the list keeps growing, making her goal a moving target.
Julia Healey, SCI AmeriCorps Volunteer Outreach Coordinator
As BACH’s Social Capital Inc. AmeriCorps Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, Julia Healey develops, implements, coordinates and manages projects that engage volunteers in community health and community health improvement. She also manages BACH’s social media sites and other outreach materials to engage volunteers and residents in BACH’s work. Julia recently graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Geography, and is passionate about pursuing a career in the field of public health.
