On June 20th, the 6th season of the Codman Square Farmer’s Market began at the corner of Washington Street and Talbot Avenue. It was organized by the Codman Square Neighborhood Council to increase healthy food options in the community. It included farm, fresh food from Silverbrook Farm, bread from Great Cape Baking Co., flowering plants from Ferrara Greenhouse, as well as vendors from Cape Cod Fish Share, Mother’s Juice, Looking Good and Prime Taste of Africa. The Market offered an excellent space for community exchange of not only products and goods, but conversation and relaxation. It is a great place to take a lunch break and enjoy the summer weather.
The market is held on Thursdays from June through October and provides the community with affordable fresh, local, organic produce, education on nutrition and information about the community.
